i have a 92 b2200 f/i 5 spd and was wondering if anybody might know whats causing the black sooty stuff coming out of my tailpipe. any help would be great.

 

Might be time for a tune up, although some soot coming out with the condensation is normal, my 08 MZ3 has soot on the tail pipe and it has 32K on it and has done it since it was new.

 

yes what siber express says is true you might have a blow by problem if you are consuming too much oil or another very common problem is the o2 is to old and causing to the engine to burn a little bit rich with out too many symptoms (mil light i.e) other than a little more fuel consumption that some people confuse as having a heavy foot
