Default Starter Motor wiring

My 15 year old son and I have a Mazda B2200 - 1991 2wd truck we have bought and are working on for when he turns 16.

After doing an oil change last night my son caught a Yellow with Green strip wire that is coming from the starter motor...but where does it go too??

The truck will now not start.

I can not find reference to it in the Haynes Manual.

Can any one help me out please?

Regards

Mark

The starter only has 2 wires going to it. One is a large wire from the battery and the other is a small wire with a female spade terminal on it that goes to the solonoid. Make sure the male spade did not break off the solonoid.

Thanks for the response.

The yellow with green strip is the thinner wire, it is attached to the starter motor, can you tell me where the other end is meant to connect too??

Sorry I am a complete novice to car mechanics and we are just doing this for some interaction between myself and my son.

Also the engine fan runs constantly...is thi scorrect?
