Default squeeling from what sounds like clutch area

Put a new flywheel, and clutch set in about 2 months ago, and how have a squeeling noise and feels like possibly loss of power to the wheels. I looked at the pressure plate by taking the rubber stop off the bottom of the trans and it looks like something's been hitting all around the sides of the plate where the bolts go, but everything seems fine, I even turned it 360 by hand to see if one of the bolts came out. Is there anything in these trucks that I don't know about that tends to cause this issue specifically?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

well, pulled the trans out and don't seen anything that looks like a grenaded clutch...trans input shaft does have a bit of play in it, maybe 3-4 mm which wouldn't have expected any and in neutral there is a bit more tension than I had expected when turning it not hard to turn, but not easy either

Did you replace the clutch release (throw out) bearing? I am not familar with Mazda at least in manual transmissions, but knowledgable with clutchs ect. Did you replace the pilot bushing in the flywheel or at least put some grease in it?

pressure plate, flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bearing all new, only thing didn't replace was the shifting fork but wouldn't think that would cause this....today I noticed there is a good amount of play in the transmission spline so I'm guessing that this may be the problem. The spline however does not go in or out at all, which is good....just not familiar enough with mazda to know the particulars of a potential problem

yep, plus it started loosing power the other day coming home. Just talked to a mechanic who knows those transmissions well, he said for sure the trans is bad, because on that truck he said there is almost no play in the shaft. Now just gotta find a trans, thanks for your help any suggestions on where to get a trans?
