sending unit out line cracked, leaking gas! what tanks work with 2600i???
Got a problem.....I have a 1991 mazda 2600i 4x4, reg. cab long box......
My gas tank was leaking bad when it was running, so I pulled it to find out that the metal out line that's attached to the top of the fuel sending unit was cracked.
So I began to pull the sending unit out and all the little screws are stripped. But I managed to get it out but now the tank is garbage(cause where you bolt unit to is fudged)
So now I need a sending unit for the the tank and a new tank....
what tanks will work on my truck?
I heard that as long as it was injected(2200i or 2600i) it did matter if it was 2wd or 4wd, BUT I needed to find one that was a long box, regular cab......IS THIS TRUE??????
thanks for the help

the tank has to be for your model.it bolts on to the cross supports in the frame
spectra premium lists mz6c for reg/long/efi.
new tank comes with the screws and seal
as for the sending unit.dealer unit(new) or rebuild it yourself.
as i did.
drill out the old fuel line and solder in new steel line.
