PowerPro B2600I Engine
I purchased a remanufactured engine from PowerPro2000.com for my b2600I which was a big mistake. To make a long story short the engine was defective from the factory and quit running about 700 miles. I contacted PowerPro at about 100 miles explained engine was making Ticking noise. I was told that PowerPro only sold the engine and the warranty was through Orient Engine and to have the problem checked. I contacted Orient to have a warranty claim opened and had a mechanic listen to engine and a lifter was suspected and should quite down after break in.
Needless to say the engine quit and disassembly showed a bad chain tensioner allowed timing chain to move back and forth wearing out timing chain, sprocket, gears, guides, head damage. I contacted Orient again and informed them of findings and was rudely told to fix engine and I would be reimbursed. I repaired the engine and mailed documentation to Orient engine and to this day I have not received any correspondence from PowerPro or Orient Engine.
