hey guys.. old 1987 b2200 has bad leak in small hose passenger side behind and below air cleaner.... i can see that its split but see where it goes or how to get to it... 1/2 " short hose looks like... can i by pass this or what is secret to accessing it to replace... i have ordered and received a bypass hose for this and it looks like a J... please help or advise and thanks
I think this is best replaced from underneath. Toughest part will be to remove the factory hose clamps, if those are still present. I use Made-in-USA worm-style hose clamps, and orient them for R&R from underneath.8mm i.d. by-pass hose to – underside of Intake Manifold to Pipe on passenger side: Mazda FE87-13-116 $6, or S-shaped Gates 18100 (cut to length, special order O’Reillys), S-shaped Gates 18100 or Gates 28408
