Default New Project 1986 B2000

Picked this up from a neighbor. gonna use it as a daily commuter till i can flip it to something better suited for construction.

Going to upgrade the:
Carb
Exhaust
Rebuild the Head (possible blown gasket, per neighbor)
water pump
possible switch to electric fans (keep from losing as much HP as i can)

if you see anything in the pictures that needs to be addressed please let me know, thanks.

Whoa! That stock carb should probably be replaced with a Weber......it ain't never going to run efficiently with everything messed with like it is now. Originally, those LX trucks were outfitted well!
I have a brother that lives up there in your town also!

That project looks great. A load of delayed preventitive maintenance that needed to be done, but you did it the correct way. A safe daily driver that will not leave you stranded. Great job. Glad to see some of us old timers arent scared to still turn a wrench!
