My motor will not turn over at all. While i was on the interstate my truck got really hot in a matter of seconds and started makings fluttering noise. I then pulled over and the motor would not turn over and there was no oil at all showing on the dipstick. Could someone help me and tell what could have caused this and what i would have to do to fix it. Iam afraid the motor locked up but i have no clue when it comes to engines.All help will bemore thanappreciated.....LATE

 

hard to say, but like they say, sounds like a duck, looks like a duck./ must be a chicken

 

can you turn it ove by hand...if you ran it outta oil its prolly foze solid....new engine time

 

I suspect you cooked the main bearings on the motor and probably seized either the crankshaft to the main bearingsor to the connecting rods. Pull the engine oil pan off the bottom of the motor and see if you have metal in the pan. I'd be willing to bet you do.

Rebuild time.

 

aight ill do that.....yea imma try to turn the motor over wit a ratchet and if it dont turn over ill check the oil pan....mannnn this sucks ha
