Need advice for donor car-FE3 swap 88 b2200.
I own a fairly nice 88 b2200, but I’m looking to bring new life and power to my beloved mini truck. I’ve been searching for FE3 Kia’s to source a donor engine, and right now the best option is about two hours away, sat for 4-5 years “ran when parked” no battery no catalytic converters. The owner has agreed to let me try to start it to see if it’s worth my time. What precautions/tools/ thoughts should I take with me? I want to drain the gas I know, and add plenty of fresh gas. I need to take a battery to start it with. No key, so I need to figure out how to start it without the key. How would I do that? Are there any other considerations for trying to start a 4-5 year sat fuel-injected engine?
