I live in Australia and have just joined the forum to ask about a 1985 Mazda E2000 Pickup (petrol engine), which I have owned for nearly 20 years, and am thinking about a possibly changing the engine to something bigger.

I have done some searches in this forum and can't find any information.

Can someone tell me about possible engine options that will bolt straight in.?
ie, an engine that my E2000 gearbox/bellhousing will bolt directly onto.

(I am thinking that the 2.6 litre mazda petrol engine may fit).
