Mazda B2600 Engine Compatibility

I need a new motor for my 1987 Mazda B2600 5-speed 4x4 (2.6L 4 -cyl) and can't find an original motor (which was a Mitsubishi 2.6 liter 4 cylinder). What else can I buy that fits into the Mazda B2600? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

if it head cracked i bought brand new head kikngs heads oakland ca. it is great

I have the same question and was thinking maybe it's possible to do a Toyota 22re swap. Would that fit and if so how much do you think it would cost to do it?
