Mazda b2200 1990 no dash light and fuse tail blow
When I finish to install my radion in my truck I was going on the road and at the time I want to open mi night light nothing open I saw the fuse and the fuse ''tail'' as blow so I change it and at the time I put the light on the fuse blow again! What happen anyone can help me?
There is no ground wire in the radio harness in the truck. There is a black wire that looks like a ground but it actually 12 volts when you turn the lights off. The radio will ground through the antenna via chassis ground so just cut the ground from the radio and unless you fried the dashlight rheostat you should be good to go.
I think you grounded the "light" wire on the radio when you installed it. Disconnect that one wire, put in a new fuse, see if the lights work. If not, I'd troubleshoot the lights with the radio harness disconnected, get that workking first.
If by chance the rotary dash switch for controlling dash light brightness is bad, you can "jump" that and just have dash lights be full illumination each time when on.
