Just got a 2000 B3000
Ok, i just bought a 2000 B3000 SE 4 door cab plus. I'd like to get a trailer ball for it, but i'm not sure what size to get. My truck is a 4x2, unfortunately. Anywho, if anyone knows what ball I can get, please post. Thanks in advance
depend's on the trailer coupler
the most common is 2 inch ball 3/4 shaft/shank
but some small utility trailers use a 1 7/8 inch ball 3/4 shaft
then there's the wieght rating (trailer to be towed)
most likely you will not exceed 3500 lbs (check your owners manual to see what the truck can tow with the axle ratio/tranny comboon the truck)
is this a bumper hitch or a full frame monted hitch?

its a bumper hitch. I dont have an owners manual for the vehicle right now. I'm hoping the dealer i got it from will order one for me. So depending on what I tow is the size hitch I need. Thanks
most bumpers for these size trucks will be rated around 2000-3500 lbs and a tongue weight of 200-350lbs up to 500lbs
should be stamped on the ball mounting area the rating of the bumper
should be stamped on the ball mounting area the rating of the bumper
