Mazda BT 50 & Pickup TrucksWhile Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50
I recently acquired a 1983 Silver Mazda B2000 Sundowner with camper shell and for the heck of me I cant find any way to value the truck for insurance purposes. I've searched lots of places and it seems these are indeed rare.
The truck has just over 48,000 miles and is in relatively excellent condition through and through except some minor things like an exhaust vibration when I hit a certain RPM.
Anyone have any good suggestions how to value the truck?
Beyond the good suggestion from Cusser, any vehicle is worth what someone is willing to pay. It is hard to value. There are few comparables and a condition is a huge factor.
I would assume it is worth twice what you paid and enjoy it.
Because you live are in California (as I do ) this should be a question posed to your insurance carrier. You should also look at what Craig's list and used car Dealers are getting and average it out between the 2. Because you live in in California "bay Area"the worth of any vehicle is directly related to your area. Don't be surprised that outside Ca there is a big difference in the estimated vehicle worth comparing to CA.
