How to add a Toyota rear bumper to your 86-93 Mazda B-series truck!
I've been searching high and low for a good, used Mazda rear chrome bumper for over 5 years now, and I'm convinced that I'll never find one that isn't dented or rusted (or both).
As such, I decided to add a Toyota rear chrome bumper to my 1987 B2200. This is the final result.

First, I purchased a new 84-88 Toyota aftermarket bumper. There are three that I'm sure will work. This is the one I got. OEM # 002283588013 (aftermarket part # TO1102106).
You will be using those two holes that are close together at the end of each bracket. Attach the bumper temporarily to the top hole with one bolt on each side. I used 6 washers on each side to make up the gap between the 43-in frame width of the Mazda truck and the narrower, 41.5-in gap in the bumper's attachment "fins." Tighten them just snug so that you can swivel the bumper up and down with a little effort. Using a level, measure the bubble position of the bed main body line on the side of your truck bed. Swivel the bumper to be parallel to that line -- the position of the level bubble should be the same as it is with the main body line of your truck bed. With a sharpie, mark in the other hole through the Fey/Westin bracket where you're going to drill a 1/2-in hole in the Toyota bumper attachment "fin." I started with small drill bits first and kept working my way upward to finally get to a 1/2-in hole. Here's what the bumper looks like after you drilled the two holes.
Notice that the hole you drill will be smaller than the hole that came with the bumper. As long as your bolts that came with the Fey/Westin bracket set go through the hole you just drilled, you're good to go. Now, just bolt it up using the lock washers and nuts provided. Use washers (again I used 6 on each side) to make up the gap on each side between the bumper and the Fey/Westin brackets. The amount you use will depend on the thickness of the washers. I found a jar full of random washers on my work bench, so I just used those.
For safety, I added two peel-and-stick red reflectors that I bought from eBay, but you can get them at O'Reilly Auto Parts too. Optronics RE-15 reflectors.
If you go to O'Reilly, just know that you will be purchasing two amber and two red ones. Since I only wanted red reflectors, I bought mine from eBay in order to have two spare ones.
