this is my first post on this site. i have an 89 b2200 that has the electric pump in the tank. my question is can i put a manuel pump on the head or is the cam different. i dont know how they distinguished which trucks got what fuel pump.any help would be great. thanks

 

The auto trans got the electric fuel pump. It puts out 7lb's i believe. The mechanical pump puts out 3lb or so. An external electric pump is an option.

 

is there a reason why the automatic got the electric pump? mine is an auto i was just tryig to get rid of the electric pump

 

Auto trans models require more fuel volume.

 

so i cant use the manuel pump?
