To swap out the stock carb and install a Weber on a California car (now deep in AZ dessert ) with all the smog parts how do you blank off the smog systems.

Pics of the plenum with the 3 reed valves, plumbing running down to the primary cat/vert. Attachment point.
Can this all be discarded and blanked off. |
If your truck is not in Maricopa or Pima county, no emissions tests. I have this on my '88 B2200. You can plug the three rubber hoses with rubber stoppers from Ace Hardware, or just remove them, which I later did.
I made a steel block off plate and slid that in and bolted it down where the twin tubes bolt on. I use capped lug nuts ($6 pack of four) to seal off the four ports on the exhaust. |
So I can remove the whole pipe system and blank it of. Great. Any chance of pics.
Which Weber did you use? Where from? |

MazdaBScene.com ? View thread - My October 2011 B2200 Engine Rebuild http://www.cardomain.com/ride/233451...photo-gallery/ I had other photos but when Mazdatrucking.com had a crash, they were lost, would need to take new ones. Might be easier if you supply E-mail address and I could E-mail them over the weekend.
