went to start my truck the other day and pressed the gas pedal and it just got stuck.now the gas pedal is stuck rev all the way up.tried to pull the gas pedal back but nothing happens.got under the hood took the cover to the
throttle and it's like stuck hit it went an hammer it went back but soon as i hit the gas it get's stuck again. been looking for the part to replace but i don't even know what's it's called so any help would be appreciated thanx

 

Can you post a pic? Theres no way to tell which part you need.

 

throttle body.
check the return spring is not rusted/gunked up.
try some carb cleaner/throttle body cleaner or some wd-40 on the linkage to the throttle body.

 

yep that's the part it's rusted bad tried some wd 40 that helped it but it still stuck if i was to buy the part would i have to buy that whole thing ??

 

think it only avaliable as a whole piece.easy enough to change.4 nuts and some antifreeze lost.new gasket and tighten check antifreeze level after a run and its had time to cool.
might find it aftermarket/local parts store or a wrecker's.

 

ok I took it to the shop and it is the throttle body but the shop said they found a used one for 265 in cali. i was wondering if anybody knew where i could get one cheaper. one of my leaf spring is bad the spring in the middle is cracked in half but they talkin about every thing is rotten at the bottom so they don't wanna mess with it. i wanna fix that so i'll be able to load stuff in the back. so if anybody has any input please let me know THANX
