Default Hard to start, then shuts off

I have the same issue, with a 93 B2600 as well. Cold weather definately affects the starting. The counting trick helps on the delay to start about one in five attempts. Definately seems like the boosted start helps.

This will happen a couple times and then run fine until it sits for a while and I go to start it again. I've changed the cap & rotor just the past week, The fuel tank and pump are about 4 months old. I'm getting the feeling it runs out of fuel... Is there a check valve that keeps the fuel lines pressurized? Someone mentioned to me that the fuel cap could be faulty?

Any ideas?

Thanks
Your fuel pump relay turns your fuel pump on. But when you release the key back to the "Running" position, your oil pressure sensor takes over. If the sensor is failing, your fuel pump will shut off as soon as you release the key.
