Default 88 b2200 stumped? No spark!!!

88 Mazda b2200. Just rebuilt the motor and did a Frame off start from scratch deal. Over the last few months with countless hours on the truck and in a Chilton book. I'm stumped. I really need some help here. I have a weber 38 so the original carb and ecu are gone. Leaving only necessary wires is what I was told. Finally ready for start up no spark. Had juice to hot side of the coil though. I read some info by a fellow named cusser. He had some great insights. I started at the ignition switch, brand with key and tumbler.new coil, brand new distributor with multiple icons. Still no start. I get a small spark when switching from run position to accessory spot.
sorry if I'm rambling, back to why I changed ignition switch originally. I pulled necessary wires and hot wired the truck. Bypassing the switch and it started. Multiple times too. So new switch an we are back to no spark unless cycling key.
my "spark" is from the distributor end of the coil wire. Grounded a stab light and got a small arc from toggling key.

I am burnt out on this truck. Lol I'm ready for this thing to be on the ground and moving. I know there are some knowledgeable guys on here. I really hope one could shed some insight 🙏. Thanks

Also is there a anti theft deal on the ignition switch? There is a button and two wires that cups the bottom of steering column? Could this cause no spark?

Don’t believe these had any anti theft stuff on them my 1989 or 1990 doesn’t have anything like that. Check make sure all of your connections like your plug wires are are good. I know my 1989 used to throw the wire off the coil all the time so I had to get a different set of plug wires for it to sit properly.

Yup I'll double check again. But I'm not even getting spark out of the coil. Got power to the coil but no power transferring to distributor. I'll throw a different cable on and see if it helps. Thanks

Coil OK? Actually wired correctly? I've heard of ignitor/pickup issues occasionally inside the distributor.

Cusser....I believe so put some long hours trying to figure out coil wires. I've got a hot from the ignition to positive side, and a black from the distributor.
a blue from the distributor to negative coil, ad well as the yellow ignition wires. I did cut off the check connector thinking it was useless? But all the same wires to coil. An also a wire from distributor to negative coil. There is a spade right below the vacuum advance. I assuming this is a ground. I have replaced distributor Icm but did test coil with Stan light. I get little flashes when turning engine over, jumping negative and positive with stab light. But the flashes are ever so slight almost continuous. I will try coil pickup. But I'm not getting spark out of the coil? In my previous post I mentioned that when hit wired it started right up. So I'm thinking something on the run circuit maybe? Man u really don't know. I'll try the pickup......but any other suggestions too I'm open. Lol

So the the third hot wire? Where does that go? Ignition, distributor, and....? Curious. Do you have picture of your where your grounds are by chance. End of negative battery cable? I bought a new coil and still no spark. Got a new distributor coming but I can't get any spark out of the coil. I'm thinking I missed a ground or have an open circuit somewhere
