Mazda BT 50 & Pickup TrucksWhile Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50
Just changed the head gasket on my truck, but I'm having trouble putting the camshaft on. In my efforts, I've scratched up one of the bearings. The only place that seems to have replacements ready is on the other side of the state, and doesn't have the best reputation, from my talks with other truck owners.
I've linked pics of the bearing in question below. Salvageable with some conditioning? Remanufacturable with some copper plate and an anvil? Try to find surrogates? Or drive to DC to chase a possible red herring?

You need NEW camshaft bearings! All of them! Order new ones and install them when they get to you. Have you tried RockAuto.com? How about the local Mazda dealership?
Now.......WHY are you having trouble installing the Camshaft?? What is the issue your running into there?
I just looked on RA.......looks like they are out of stock on the STD. size camshaft bearings. They do have Sealed Power 0.25mm oversized bearings in stock....actually on clearance, and Sealed Power is a very good quality product........but, to use them you will need to have the camshaft main journals machined 0.25mm smaller. So, if the cam bearings look like that.......what does the camshaft look like?? It may NEED to be machined!
When the copper is showing on your engine bearings......ANY of them......it's time to replace them, AND fix the engine issues that led them to be ruined!
The cam bearing are TOAST. I would be concern with why the clearance was so tight causing them to wear all the way to the copper? You need to carefully inspect your camshaft bearing journals if the journals are scored then you should not use the cam. In some cases you can polish them but my guess looking at the bearing you may be looking for cam(s) And by all means change your motor oil and filter.
DO NOT USE USED CAM BEARINGS
I found some on Amazon, and it turns out I put the timing chain on in the wrong order, had it wrapped around the chain guard. All's well now, thanks for the suggestion homie!

Just changed the oil like half a mile before this pic lol, my guess is they're just factory. I got new ones, and figured out the issue with clearance. Rip those gaskets and 4q of oil
