Default 2001 B3000 Oil Pan Removal Steps

I have a 2001 B3000 v6 3.0 Liter and trying to remove the oil pan. It appears that the clutch dust cover is conflicting with removing the back of the pan. The only way I can see of doing this is to move the manual transmission back far enough that the dust cover drops down an inch or so allow the oil pan to drop.

Does anyone have experience with this that can comment on it?

You should ask on a Ford Ranger board (same as 1994-on Mazda trucks, but more plentiful), and remember to specify your engine there too, as there are at least 3 different engine options.

My guess is that there's an easier way.
