I have a 1993 Mazda b2600i truck will not start just cranks. Ran and drove awesome then started to crank a couple times then start. almost left me stranded once but managed to start but was sluggish now it just cranks and won’t start. I’ve replaced distributor, coil, ignition switch, main relay, and the computer and still have no luck any help would be greatly appreciated! Can’t check the cel codes because they won’t flash.

 

So you "threw parts at it", not a good thing.

When a vehicle cranks at normal speed, and the compression tests good and won't run at all, next step is to spray some aerosol starting fluid into the air cleaner or throttle opening, try to start, do this a few times. If it runs for a few seconds then quits out, you have a fuel delivery issue, start there. If it won't run at all when you do this, then it's a spark issue, work on that. This is a common first test to help isolate the problem. This is practically an ALWAYS: isolate whether spark or fuel.

 

Do you have access to factory manual? I have '92 manual for my '91 truck. I am attaching two pictures that the manual has covering the NO START, BUT CRANKS condition. Hope they help. The entire manual is available here:

wanted to add that I have the '91 service manual in the form of a paper copy w/blue Mazda binder...I like having the electronic to print out and get dirty if need be

 

Sorry for taking to long to reply got sick and just now able to get back to work. Okay it’s a spark issue the truck will start and run for about 5 minutes like nothings wrong then just dies then once I go to start it back up it barley starts and when it does it’s barley running then dies out shortly after. Each time it starts I watch the tach move while cranking. When the tach doesn’t move at all while cranking it will never start.

 

Clean the terminals on the MAF sensor and then use dielectric grease on them and plug it back into the wiring.......you may want to plug/unplug several times to help clean the female ended connector also.

 

Okay I actually put a brand new mass airflow sensor on it yesterday and it does the same thing. Anything else?

 

You need to determine if you have spark when it is not starting......do you have a timing light?

 

When it doesn’t start it won’t get spark yes I got a timing light timing is dead on when I crank it with no tach movement the timing light is showing no spark

 

You might have got a bad new distributor. I've had that happen. If no tach that is a sign the pickup in the distributor is bad. Pretty common problem when no spark/no tach
