Default 1989 B2200 Ignition Cylinder- Attempted Theft

Hi ... I have a 1989 B2200. Someone tried to steal it by forcing a screwdriver into the ignition. Now the key will not turn it. Does anyone know if just the cylinder can be replaced someway.
Looking online the only thing I can find for a solution is the entire harness that requires ripping the dash apart and removing the steering wheel and installing an ignition switch harness that costs $250 alone...and above my comfort . . It is just my work-around-the-camp truck and dont want to spend big bucks.

Anyone have any experience with this... even a mickey mouse fix or a way to cross wires?

Thanks

Assuming you don't want to seek a used lock cylinder/keys at mazdatrucking.com, or use a universal inition switch, looks like you could get brand new for under $150 with keys
