Good call Cusser........I know some have tried to hang that metal bypass tube first and then put the intake on over it. I just figure that it's common sense that you don't do that!

About 15 years ago I pulled and sold an intake manifold from the parts yard to someone who had broken his installing that incorrectly. Of course, "if" his didn't break upon assembly, there would've been a huge coolant leak !
The coolant sensor has stopped working since i took out the EGR system. I did not cut out all the harnesses. Are there any tricks to finding the lead for coolant sensor or should i just rerun wires to dash cluster? Thanks,

The coolant sensor for the dash coolant temperature gauge is located on the thermostat housing, and it is a single (yellow if I remember correctly) wire connector that plugs into it.
Yes, that's the sender for the coolant temperature gauge. That wire (might be yellow with white stripe) can become disconnected. If it won't stay on, I believe a female bullet connector can be used. Here's another of Axel's photos.
