water inlet pipe. help please

Default water inlet pipe. help please

hey i have a question and hopefully someone answeres it asap.i have a 95 mazda 626 es v6 2.5l and its been overheating for awhile so i figured out that its the thermostat well i looked in a chilton manual to find out what i have to do to replace the thermostat and it says i need to remove the water inlet pipe to get to the thermostat and im not sure where that is. so could anyone please tell me where that is or send me a diagram of where it is exactically sum help would much appreciated. Thanx

Here is a diagram that may help to find it. You can see the pipe they are referring too in the lower portion of the picture. It is not necesssary to remove the thermostat housing from the pipe in order to replace the t-stat but if you do then be sure to replace the 'O' ring that seals it up or you will have leaks. Once you remove the air cleaner box you will be able to see it much easier.
Do not forget to remove the bolt that attaches the pipe bracket to the cylinder head below the distributor as well as shown.
