So, I rebuilt the engine in my '91 Mazda 626. She's finally almost back together again.

but I cannot get the danged timing belt back on! The tensioner pully is like.. stuck... I've tried removing the spring. Nothing
I've marked the belt and whatnot, but the sucker just wont go on
I can't seem to find anything about this model year Mazda online. it sucks.
If anyone could help me out, I would love it! tips, tricks, anything!

 

So, we got it on.. only to have one of the bolts on the valve cover.. break off... inside the head... got it out.. but decided to wait before I do anything else..

I have NEVER had such a hard time rebuilding a car

 

Hey I'm also a 91 626 owner . I have many plans for this ride. But I'm probably gonna need to rebuild my engine soon and I just wanted to know about how much I'm looking to spend on a rebuild and if its possible that I could do it myself. Well you know not that hard.........
