afinepoint, were you ever able to resolve this issue? I'm having a similar problem, and would love to know what the problem was.

Mine ended up being a bad injector. Now it needs an O2 sensor...

Default problems after valve cover gasket job

I also recently replaced my valve cover gasket. I'm afraid I may have the same issue, if I ever get it to start. I'm all finished changing the gasket, and now I can't get it to start. It acts like the battery is dead, but headlights are bright and tried jumping it just in case. I'm thinking there must be some kind of sensor that needs to be reset or something when the valve cover is removed. Anyone know where this could be or if there is something else?
