i have a 2001 626 and have been having trouble with my stock radio. At first i heard crackling like there was a grounding problem or loose wire. Then it started cutting out and if i pushed it in the sound would come back. It got to the point where u would have to hold it in to get it to work. After buying keys for it i tried removing it - that didnt work and now it is totally black no sound no way no how, not even with a push in. The left side seems to click in with the keys but the right side will not budge. This guy at a car audio store (herb) said it was f***ed but i just want to make sure i have the right 2 holes on the side, since there are i believe 5 holes on each side, but the tool is 2 pronged. If i do have the correct holes and its still is not coming out, what do i have to do to get this sucker out short of taking it to mazda dealer and having them cut it out. Any suggestions would be a great help.
