Default Radiator fan

Hello all.

1994 929 V6. I'm in the process of replacing the water pump but can't seem to get the radiator fan off. Can anyone tell me how this is done? Thanks in advance.

It is held on by 4 nuts. Remove the nuts and wiggle it loose.

I know that. What I need to know is how keep the pulley from turning while I'm trying to loosen them.

Here's my method. Put the wrench on the nut you need to remove. Slide a piece of pipe over the wrench. I use part of the pipe that goes to my floor jack, no good shadetree mechanic should be without one. Now you've extended the lever, greatly increasing the turning torque. Wearing leather gloves grab the pulley and hold it. With the other hand push up or pull down on the pipe, whatever direction results in the nut turning CCW. The nut will instantly loosen.

Repeat the procedure when tightening the nuts, be careful to not overtighten or you will shear the heads off.

That's for the tip. Now I need to know what size bolts hold on the radiator fan. Does anyone happen to have that handy?
