Heya,

I have a 1996 Mazda Familia Sedan (JDM import 323/Protege). It's a Z5DE engine 323 with a 4 speed automatic.

I live in New Zealand, I've only seen a handful of these things around (you mostly see hatchback versions)


Okay, so when I start my car, the overdrive is already on. The light is off. I used to get confused because it's somehow reversed...
Well it's usually a simple fix of turning it off when I turn my car on. But is there anyway to fix this?

I bought this cheap a couple of months ago, had to give this thing a lot of TLC i.e the dipstick tube was ripped out and I had to replace the whole cast piece behind the bottom pulley(don't ask hahaha).
