I recently bought a 1996 626 (2.0L 4 Cyl., ATX) with 143K miles. It is in very good shape and runs very well. Recently, I have noticed that the O/D OFF light flashes after the car has been run for 20 or 30 minutes. It doesn't stop until I turn the car OFF. If I depress the O/D button on the shifter, the transmission will behave as normal, but the light still flashes. I could find nothing in the owner's manual about this. Any suggestions?
