New Member - Part identification Issue Mazda 626
Hello, I am a new member but at a loss on what to do with this particular issue. I recently inherited a neat Mazda 626 (GF) 2.0i automatic year 2000 (JMZGF14S501432602). I just spent about 3000 euros doing much needed maintenance and was on the last item - the front left drive shaft needs to be replaced. So far the Garage and I have been unable to find the proper part number for this piece even though I went to the Mazda japan website and found Part No. GG09-25-500D (or E) which seemed on the blow up to be the right part (see attachment). The car was purchased in France if that makes a difference but I would sincerely appreciate any advice or assistance as my car has been stuck now 4 weeks at the garage as they try to find this elusive part.

Oh ok. Well I see that you reside in France, I can't really recommend any company except. in the USA where there are several companies that you can get rebuilt complete CV axles from?
This on that I have used for both my customers and myself over the years.
.CV Axle Express Inc - Quality Axle Rebuilding/Remanufacturing

Thanks much. I am indeed outside of the US and am looking just for the part number for a front left drive shaft. It should not be so difficult to find a part number but I am not a veteran Mazda owner so maybe this is par for the course. My mechanic ordered a part that was just one piece of the drive shaft and listed as compatible with my car and, not knowing, I used the same part number to order the same part but the parts ended up being different even though they had the same part number and both were incompatible with my car even though the part was listed as compatible with my model, year etc.! Never had that happen before so I am trying to be very careful to get this right.
The only place any parts should be looked up is with the manufacture of the product. This applies to anywhere in the world. Parts look-up programs supplied on the internet not from the manufacture are often inaccurate and incorrect. Even if you use an OEM part number to cross over to an aftermarket part.
Indeed. That's why I went to the Mazda Japan website to pull the part numbers that are in the file attachment but, unfortunately, that also did not work. If you have references to other websites that have the original manufacturer part numbers of Mazda models so that I can compare - I am all ears!

I posted the site and supplier I use for standard CV axles. I have another for performance CV axles but that is not for generally a standard replacement and also much more expensive because they are are all new parts and upgraded from the OEM
