Hello!

I have an old Mazda 818/808 from 1974 with an 1.3L TC-engine.
The problem is that the engine is broken and I'm going to an engine transplant.

Therefore I wonder if any of you have any idea of any engine that would fit straight on the Mazda 818?

I've found an Mazda 929 -82 with a MA-engine 2.0 litres in an car breakers yard, and I'm wondering if that engine would fit in the 808?
Its a little taller and the engine seems mirrored, the exhaust is on the other side, the start engine.
But the most important is if it fits on the gearbox (4 gears), or if I could take the whole engine with the transmission from the 929.
Do you think it would fit on the 808 without any major reworking?

Unfortunately I'm on a budget and cant afford an wankel at the moment.
