Default mazda 626 LX transmission oil leak

Car:2001 Mazda 626 LX 4 Cyl 2L engine CD4E trans (D, 2, 1 D not circled)
Problem: Transmssion oil leak 2 big drops overnight color red, reddish brown Right at the center of the car and almost below front bumper.

View from obove, the plastic sheil has retained some oil and that keeps dropping to the floor

Driving: Almost normal, but seems like low power and takes while to shift gears

When reversing, often the car rolls to front (mostly when on slope) when liver shifted to R, untill strong throttle is applied and gives a big Jerk when shifted to drive/front and then becomes normal.

Oil level was low (obviously becuase of the leak) when topped up, car drives almost normal.

On the road when stearing is turned to left, makes a groning noise, this is obvious at city speeds but on free way not easily noticeable.. and when slow during 90 degree turns, makes more noise but not hard loud noise.

Suggested to replace the filter/gasket. But could not figure out how to could not locate the filter location. Google search indicates 626 trasnmission does not have a filter instead, it has a wire mesh and also it is internal and transmission has to be unmounted to replace filter.

Is the leak by any chance from axle joint....bearing ....Could not be easily made out because bottom was more oily

Any suggestions ideas to stop leak
