mazda 626 1995 Mass Air Flow sensor replacement problem
Hi folks, I have mazda 626 1995 ATX 2.0L 4 Cyl. recently I had issues with Mass Air Flow Sensor so I had to replace it with a new one bought online, I requested it exactly as required specification that matches my car just it's base is little bit different so I had to put some silicon glue to fill the gap, I started engine and check engine light went off, the car goes very smooth and fast but when idle speed goes below 1000 rpm a fluctuation starts to show up and idle speed changes up and down dramatically.
I calibrated Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) so the fluctuation decreased very much, but still there is a fluctuation, I checked spark plugs and their cables, distributor cap, nozzles, feed pump, chock valve, even EGR sensor nothing wrong.
I checked Engine on Key off and Engine on key on nothing wrong and check engine didn't show up.
What is the problem?
Attached you find two pictures of the old and new MAF.
Check for splits in the flexi hose that goes from the AFM to the throttle body.
I did so and used sigaret smook to check any leak but didn't find a problem, actually I am using a bit larger hose but locked it from the MAF side by a screw ring locker. I am not sure this is the problem because if so the ckeck engine light will turn on.
Anyway.. thanks for your reply.
