Default just got a 626

Hi everyone, Im Chris...this is my first post on this forum and as the title says, I just got a 626...its a 97 LX 4-banger, black sedan...I understand that it has a Ford engine? not that im too surprised, hell Ford owns em. From the little searching I did, theres also tranny issues? not looking forward to that...

I guess one question is what makes/models is my car interchangeable with? BTW, its a DOHC, not sure what all engine options were available. Educated guess tells me its prolly escort parts...idk though so someone tell me.

One more thing si there a common issue/easy fix for the sunroof not working? It works enough to flip it upwards...then it wont move at all and wont close, even though I can hear the sunroof motor working...

Gotta say though I thought I would hate the damn thing (american car freak) but its actually not that bad of a car...doesnt have any power, but goes forever on hardly any gas...fairly comfortable too. Haha, your all gonna laugh at this one...the girl I bought it from was drunk one night and hit a fence....when I got it the bumper was grey, but after having the car for half an hour, the bumper was proffesionally painted black with $-Store gloss spray paint. From a few feet away you cant even tell, which is the best part...anyway, thanks to all who give me feedback...
