Default I dont know what to do....

I dont know what to do. I took my car to Autozone because my Check Engine Light came on about 2 weeks ago. Instead of doing a Diagnostic check they noticed that a piece of something was J.B. Welded to the engine. The guy shook it and it broke off. See the thing is... I have no clue what that thing is called. Its the piece of hard black plastic connecting the Cold-Air Intake to the Engine. Also it has some tubing attached to it on the side. I wonder.. is it the Throttle Body Hose? I was looking on the internet and I'm not sure but maybe that's it. Can anyone figure out what in the world this piece is so I can find it somewhere...

Can you take pics of the part? Maybe an underhood shot so we see where the part is located in the engine.

I'm actually in Blytheville, Arkansas and my car is in Somerville, Tennessee.. a 2 hour drive... I wish I knew what this thing was called.... Like I said it's a hard black plastic piece shaped like a curved pipe or something.. It connects the Intake Hose to the Engine.. The Intake Hose clamps to it and the piece bolts or clamps to the Engine.. Couldnt tell with all that JB Weld on it..

It would be helpful to know more about the car like engine, model, year, etc... Maybe we could be more helpful.

Do you mean the entire part that bolts to the throttle body( that part is about the size of a softball) or just the small elbow shaped tube that is sticking out of it. (Looks like a small plastic tube about 1 inch in diameter and shaped like an elbow macaroni.)

It is called the" intake air hose" between the air flow meter and throttle body. The hose comes as a complete assembly from Mazda that goes between the air flow meter at the air cleaner to where it bolts to the engine at the throttle body. Factory part number is JE48-13-220A and has MSRP of $359.20. Is also available at www.onlinemazdaparts.com for $287.36.
Might also try to look around for a used one unless the Autozone is willing to pay for the part that they broke.
