Help with 2002 626 DRLs

Help with 2002 626 DRLs
I have an 02 626 which recently I flicked my brights quickly and now I have daytime running lights! I've never had DRLs since I've owned the car.
The headlights come on in the off position and turn off in parking light position then turn on in on position! I've tried repeating my actions to turn them off but nothing happened!
My manual says they automatically stay on due to it being illegal in Canada if turned off! I live in FL btw. But like I said I've never had them before!
Any advice?
