Default Headlight Relay Problem

Howdy all. First post here, I used to hang out at mazda626.net occasionally but they apparently didn't pay the hosting bill as the site is down. I have a 97 626 that started having an intermittent problem with the headlights going out while I was driving. Not exactly a good thing. Poking at the headlight relay would bring them back, so I replaced the relay. 3 months later the problem is back. Last night it took me 5 minutes of poking and moving the relay to get the lights to stay on. Sounds like a loose wire or short on the bottom side of the relay harness to me. So today I spent 10 minutes pulling and prodding and twisting at the wires trying to isolate which one is loose or shorting. No dice, can't get the damn lights to go out at all. Clearly the car is waiting for darkness to act up again The insulation on the wires is in good condition, there is no bare wire or anything that would be an obvious short. I thought about just pulling all 4 wires out and re-seating them in the relay harness, but it wasn't obvious to me how to get them out.

Question 1 - how are those wires attached?
Question 2 - anything other ideas?

Thanks.
