Default Headlamp problems

Hi all.. Hopefully someone can help me in repairing my 323F 1993.

Whenever i turn on my sidelights, the lights pop up and there is a wierd relay sticking type noise coming from what looks like a relay in the engine compartment on the nearside wall of the bay. The light stay off except for the offside cluster light to the front..The dash lights illuminate along with the full beam light on the dash and the rear lamps are not affected as they appear to work perfectly.... When i turn to main lights, the relay buzz goes off but the light situation does not change.

Has someone had this problem before or is aware of a fix.. I do not posess a Haynes manual for the car so i do not know what the relay type box is in the engine compartment.

Thanks in anticipation.
