Default Another Tranny Question -- 2001 626

So our 2001 Mazda 626 has about 160,000 miles, engine runs well but we are seeing signs of age...

One of the big problems that is starting is that when I put the car in "Drive" I have to pull back on the shifter so it "clicks" into place. I just can't put it into drive anymore. I had a mechanic flush the ATF system and refill with fresh fluid, but it's still happening.

I hope the tranny isn't going out... but are there any other things to check or adjust? Also, the light for the drive gear on the shifter is out...
