Question Advice, worth refurbishing a 1989 323 Hatchback? 4cyl 1.6L Auto 3doo

Yo

As title says, I have a 1989 323 Hatchback I owned for a few months before had some major issues. Love the car and was really fun to drive, but engine started breaking down (broken cylinder, running on 3).

Could refurb or replace, but I don't really have the funds to do so unless I could sell it (or a convenient place to store), but I don't know what market there would be for it. I know the 1990 has a huge following, but I'm not deep enough in car culture to know much beyond.

Don't really know a ton about cars, how feasible would it be to swap out with a slightly newer model engine?

VIN for the curios
