98 626 radio removel

Default 98 626 radio removel

I need help on how to get the old radio out. Any help?

One both side of the radio are some small covers. See first drawing below. Use a small screwdriver or pic to carefully pry them out. You will find there are two holes spaced 1 3/8" apart. Get to a parts store and purchase what are commonly called Ford radio removal tool. Will be 'U' shaped with a little **** on the end. Insert these tools into both side of the radio. Spread the tool ends that you are holding outword and should pull right out.
