Default 929 transmission slip or air leak?

We recently bought a 1992 929, car was working fine for 2 weeks and then yesterday the transmission started to slip.

Today the car gave up in the freeway. Heres the strange thing.

If I turn the engine off and back on, the car will run again for a mile or so, then it will start to slip again, then it will not run, if I turn off the engine and back on, the car will run again.

I check the trans fluid, it has 4 marks 2 next to an engrave that says 20C and the other 2 at 65C (where C means Celsius).

Level is a bit difficult to check because when I remove the dipstick it comes out with lots of oil, for I could figure it reads in the low of the 20C; but I cant figure where it sould be.

The trans fluid was check both in park and in neutral, reading was exactly the same.

I read that it migh be a air leak, this got me thinking because once you turn the engine off and back on the car will run again.

For the record also, the engine wont stop, it keeps running.

Any help will be grately appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!
