Default -91 mazda 323 engine in my -80 323?

I bought a 323 in pretty nice condition a while ago. Im getting tired of its 65 horsepower (and its not running great either) and because i have an engine from a 91 323 (1,6i) laying round complete with EFI and all that stuff in wondering, will it fit bolt on to my gearbox? The 80' 323 is RWD and has a 4-speed gearbox and the engine 1,4 litre.

It may fit, there is good space available in the 323RWD engine bay, but you would have issues with the exhaust manifold and distributor set up.
You could research some parts for the MX5/eunos/Miata as this also uses the 1.6 in earlier models and is RWD.
