Have the alternator loose and disconected from motor., But how do I get the alternator out of the engine compartment? What else needs to be removed? Any help would be great. Thanx.

 

If it's like my 88 you have to move the charcol canister up and out of the way.Then remove the bracket holding the main wire harness coming out of the firewall on the engine and push the wires as far as you can to the drivers side.THen the alternator will come out the top but it does take some twisting around to get it out.Strange thing is the new one goes back easy?
