Default 89 323 carb

hi i have a 1989 323 with the b3 1300 motor i have ct the motor out and mounted it in my beach buggy. the time is drawing near when i will be wiring it up ready to start. i bought the car satisfied that i had bought a carbie as i thought there was less wiring but to my disapointment it has an ecu and plenty of useless gadgets and emission control contraptions i was wandering if anyone knew if i am able to block all of the vacume lines of and run it minus the ecu etc or will i have to get another carb

you will more than likely still need to run the ecu, but you could take off all of the emissions controls. i recommend pulling the motor's wiring harness and installing it in the buggy. it will be tedious work, but the outcome will be better.

i went to c a carb guru a couple v days ago it turns out that the carb is some hippy greenie idea taken on by the asian market but was not enforced in nz and i was unlukie enough to get an import. so now on the hunt for a non electronic carb of one of the nz new ford or mazdas. this has enabled me to cut down to about 6 wires to run the whole engine
