I recently installed the entire (well not exactly the entire system thats why im here) power steering system on my 89 323 1.6 16v carburated engine. It came with factory wiring for the steering pump but i noticed that the power steering switch wasnt doing anything and i realised im missing a few bits. A 3 way valve goes on the firewall instead of a 2 way that my car has. I was wondering if anyone has done the same conversion and knows the following: where is the 3rd vacuum hose connected to, is my factory logic unit below the heater core sufficient or is it different for the PS system and are there other bits im unaware of? A vacuum diagram / wiring diagram would be extremely helpful as ive searched the entire web and can only find them for the EGI variant which isnt really helpful, and ive left the EGI conversion for some other day.
