Default 1992 Mazda 929

I have a 1992 Mazda 929 and lately I have been have some issues with it. Sometimes the check engine light comes on immediatly when I start the car. Also when I start the car it sometimes gives me a little trouble. Most recently though the car will shut off or almost shut off completely when idling at low RPM's. I believe that it might be the fuel filter but I am not positive because I don't know where the fuel filter is located. Can someone please tell me where it is?

Thanks

The fuel filter is located beside the driveshaft near the differential. I've had similar problem and the same symptoms with my wife's 92' 929. It was burnning too muchfuel and you could smell it out the tailpipe. I've had to cleanup the mass air flow sensor and it run like new. That was at about 230 km, at 260 km I gave this sensor the last clean and it went R.I.P. The new one isonly avaliable from the dealer and itwill cost youbetween$1600to $1200 (depends on how well you know the parts manager).
